Mange
Q: Hi my brother found a dog on the side of the road and it is maybe a month or so old and it scratches alot and has spots of missing hair and i was wondering if that is the mange and also if it is contagious to where humans can get it and if so how to treat the animal?i was told if a dog has the mange you can dip and for a couple of days in motor oil and it will get rid of it?can you plz email me back and let me know.thank you so much.
A: I would not use motor oil. to diagnose mange which is possible you will have to take pup to vet for exam and skin scrape. very treatable but need appropriate diagnosis
T cell lymphoma
Q: My bulldog has t cell lymphoma and we found out about 3 months ago. we tried chemo twice but she got so sick after the second trement that we had to stop. she is on cyclophosphamide 50mg ever other day and prednisone 20 mg one daily. but she has a tumor on her back leg the size of a silver dollar that is whitest green and really smells. and she has got sores all over her body some look like new tumors some don't. she still is eating good and seems to be happy is there any thing that i can do for her? and what can i do for the tumor that smells bad. it is to big to remove the vet said. she's my baby and i need to help her. she has them on her face and keeps rubbing it until it bleeds. thanks eileen

Dog odor

A: Try a different diet like an all natural one like pet guard or california natural lamb and rice. also add prozyme to meals as well as flax seed oil at dose of 1 tea per 20 pounds of body weight daily to see if helps over a few months

Dog coughing

Changing heartworm medications

A: You can change to another product six months after your dog was given the shot. we recommend interceptor.

A: |i would avoid pepto due to fact it contains salacylic acid which is aspirin that can be hard on stomach. try pepcid ac at dose of 1/2 mg per pound once to twice daily. if persists, see vet

My dog has kennel cough

A: Probably still is. likely viral for him which has to run its course
Distemper and kennel cough
