Dog weights and front line
Q: I have a 175lb great dane, i am switching her from atvantage to frontline. the computer says 89+ lbs but the package says 89 - 134 lbs will this work on her. thank you
A: No, you will need a additional strength because of her size. you would add a "medium" size tube in addition.

My dog pulls out his fur
Q: I think my dog may have an obsessive compulsive disorder. he licks his feet all the time and recently he's started pulling the fur out of his feet as well as pulling out the hair on his testicles. we had a "bucket" which we put on his head for a week and he didn't seem bothered by pain or anything in those areas but as soon as the bucket was off he started to pull out his fur again. i'm at my wits end i'm worried he's going to get an infection.
A: Need to have vet rule out allergies first such as inhalent seasonal allergies and/or food allergies as well. might want to ask vet about med known as amitryptylline which is not only good antihistamine but also good if behavioral. also consider adding to food brite coat xs from 1800petmeds in addition to prozyme as well which might help allergies long term
Shop for: antihistamine, prozyme, 1800petmeds
Rabies
Q: I have a 11 year old dog and i was wondering if a rabies vaccination is necassary every 3 years, he had his last one 3 years ago. thank you for your time.
A: That would depend upon your local and state ordinances which you must follow. in actuality most rabies vaccinations are good immunologically for much longer than 3 years in most cases.

Flea medication
Q: What flea medication do you recommend for a 2 year old dog (50lbs). we would like to use something that also prevents mosquito bites but are concerned of the ingredients considering we are due with twins in the next two weeks. any suggestions? thank you!!
A: Advantix is most reliable product for this. can also try revolution as well. however with twins if you want to be safest in my opinion i would go with oral program for flea control but does nothing for mosquitoes
Shop for: advantix, revolution
